Membership

Kernwood Country Club is a member-owned private club located on the scenic North Shore, just 35 minutes from Boston. Our championship 18-hole golf course which lies along the Danvers River was designed by Donald Ross in 1914, earning a reputation as one of New England's most highly conditioned courses.

We are a family oriented country club where members can play a challenging round of golf, dine with friends, relax at the pool, enjoy a workout in the fitness room, or play a set on the tennis courts. Along with superb facilities Kernwood is best known for the camaraderie among its members, as a social destination for family fun, member events, holidays, special occasions, educational programs and community responsibility. Kernwood continues to earn a reputation as the North Shore's premiere private club experience.

Single and Family Golf Membership

Our Golf Membership is the best investment for a regular golfer. A single golf membership gives the primary member independent access to the golf course, while other family members (spouse/significant other and unmarried children under 28 years of age) enjoy all non-golf activities at the club. The family golf membership gives the primary member and his/her spouse/significant other independent access to the golf course while unmarried children under the age of 28 enjoy all non-golf facilities at the club.

Social Membership

Social members are given access to all club facilities except the golf course and range. Social members and their family (spouse/significant other and any unmarried children under the age of 28) are granted access to all non-golf facilities including club dining, the pool, tennis courts, exercise room, and all social events. Social members are also permitted to take golf lessons when accompanied by a Kernwood teaching professional.

Single and Family Social with Limited Golf Membership

A limited golf option is the best choice for someone who is just learning the game, or can't commit to more than four rounds per month. The primary member (single social with limited golf) or the primary member and his/her spouse/significant other (family social with limited golf) get to enjoy the golf course on weekdays and Saturday afternoons, up to three times per month May-September. From October – April there are no restrictions on the number of rounds, and they are allowed the same weekend and weekday access as our full golf members. Limited Golf members are able to participate in the opening and closing tournaments. All other tournament participation is subject to availability, and the discretion of the Golf Chairman and Head Golf Professional.

Young Professional Membership

For adults under the age of 35 that are looking to join the Club, Kernwood offers Young Professional Membership which makes dues and fees more affordable for those who are in the early stages of raising a family. These members may have golf privileges and use of all non-golf facilities including all club dining areas, the pool, tennis courts, exercise room, and all social events.
