| An uphill tee shot to a target where only the flagstick is visible can play very difficult, especially when the wind is coming off the Atlantic. The trees behind the green block the wind, which the player cannot feel on the tee box. Often a well-struck shot rises to its peak only to come up short. You can be fooled.
An uphill par 3 with a deep bunker short right. Aim toward the center of the green and hope you have the correct club. The front third of the green is a false front that creates tremendous backspin - distance control and club selection are at a premium here. |
