How to Play It:
The most difficult hole on the course is a perfect illustration of how Ross allowed the natural contour of the land to shape the hole. The drive requires a deft right to left tee shot avoiding the cove on the left. The fairway does not offer many flat lies and often gives a downhill lie to an uphill green over a pond. The green is perched on top of a hill with a sharp slope both back to front and left to right, Take a par and sprint to the 17th tee. Dogleg left that requires a draw off the tee. Avoid the tidal marsh on the left. Second shot is uphill and plays at least one club longer that the yardage indicates. Stay below the hole. Green slopes severely from back to front.
