It is often debated which is the prettiest hole at Kernwood - No. 5 or No. 15. The latter hole requires a well placed drive ideally in the left center of the fairway. The shot into the green is framed by marsh on the left and a gorgeous view of the river behind it. A triple birch tree behind the green creates an aiming point, since the green is sloped right to left. In autumn the foliage on this hole, like many of the others, is a must see.
Place a three wood off the tee on the left side of the fairway. Trees block out any tee shots ending up on the right side. Bunkers guard in front and to the left of the green. Wind is usually in your face, making second shot longer than yardage indicates. Green slopes right to left. |
