"We joined Kernwood in the Fall of 2010, very excited about the prospect of a great and well managed golf course. The golf program is indeed wonderful - the course extremely beautiful and well maintained, the golf pros exceptional, the ease and convenience of securing tee times - all far exceeded our expectations. We have discovered in the year we have been members that Kernwood is not just about the golf, however. The Course Maintenance Staff, the Golf Staff, and the Club Staff clearly take great pride in their work, and it shows. We liken Kernwood to a five star resort, with customer service extraordinaire at all levels, a first rate culinary and event team and an extremely friendly and helpful staff, who always anticipate our needs. Another pleasant surprise for us has been the amazing friendships we have made in the past year. The level of camaraderie and friendliness with which we have been greeted has been extraordinary. Truly a very special place that has it all!"

"I have been a member for 12 years and love the golf course. Every time you play the scenery looks different because of the tides and the way the water surrounds the course. The best time to play is late afternoon on a summer day and seeing the parade of boats from the 5th hole headed back to port."

My fears were unfounded; not only was I included in golf outings but in social events as well. The Tuesday morning women's league is also a great way to golf with new people. "Not being a golfer, I was skeptical when my husband suggested we join Kernwood. Soon after joining, I found that Kernwood is not a stuffy old golf club, but is a comfortable and welcoming place offering much more than a great golf course. Fabulous dining, the pool, the charitable events, a variety of social events whether for couples, men, ladies, or families -- there is something for everyone. Beyond golf, membership at Kernwood has fostered new friendships and has provided our family with fun ways to connect year-round in a relaxed setting. In the summertime, Kernwood was our destination for an afternoon at the pool followed by an expansive BBQ buffet, and off-season there have been several fun family events too. It has been particularly gratifying to see our 10 year-old golfing with his father and appreciating the beauty and serenity of the course. We hope to watch our children grow at Kernwood, making new friends, learning to golf, and developing a good sense of community and respect."
